A photo check of your holiday home while you are away
A simple photo check can give peace of mind when nobody is there. A checklist for what is reasonable to ask for – and what is not.

What a photo check is
A photo check means someone walks around the house and grounds, from outside or with a key you have left, and takes pictures following a list. It is a visual look – not a survey, not a repair and not a security service.
Outside checklist
- Every façade, window and door.
- The roof seen from the ground – nobody climbs up.
- Gutters and downpipes from ground level.
- Grounds, fence, gate and any fallen branches.
- Letterbox and whether post has piled up.
If the inside is included
- Agree in advance exactly which rooms to photograph.
- Floors under the sink and by water connections – look, do not touch.
- Windows from the inside.
- No photos of private documents or valuables.
Keys and trust
Never hand over a key before you have agreed price and scope in POFFIX. Agree how the key is handed over and returned, and mention any alarm in the task. If something needs fixing, contacting the right professional is up to you.
An example task text
“Outdoor photo check of holiday home: all four façades, roof from the ground, deck and shed. About 30 photos sent in the chat. No key needed.” Short, concrete and easy to price.
