1.Who operates POFFIX
POFFIX is a website where individuals and businesses can describe everyday tasks and connect with people who want to carry them out.
Details of the company operating the service – legal name, registration number, address and contact details – will be published here once confirmed. Until then, reach us through the contact form.
Decision required: Legal name, registration number, registered office and support address of the platform operator.
2.Terms we use
• Customer: the person or business posting a task.
• Provider (Poffixer): someone with a provider account who can ask questions and make price offers.
• Task: the work description submitted by the customer.
• Price offer: a structured proposal of total price and scope made under Bids & offers.
• Agreement: when both parties have approved exactly the same price offer in POFFIX.
3.POFFIX's role and contracting parties
POFFIX provides the technology to post tasks, communicate, make price offers and – when enabled – pay.
Who you contract with for the work itself, and who invoices, depends on the business model finally chosen. This will be stated clearly in each agreement before it can be approved.
Decision required: Whether the customer contracts directly with the provider (marketplace model) or with POFFIX (POFFIX sells the service), and who invoices the customer.
4.Accounts and guest bookings
You can submit a task without an account. You then receive a reference number and a personal link to follow it. Do not share the link – anyone holding it can see the task status.
Chat and price offers require signing in. A guest task can be linked to your account using the personal link.
You are responsible for the accuracy of the information you give and for keeping your sign-in secure.
5.Posting a task
Describe the work so a provider understands scope, location, timing and any obstacles. A submitted task is a request – not a booking and not a contract.
New tasks are screened automatically. Tasks that may breach our safety rules, or concern areas without confirmed coverage, are reviewed manually or recorded as an expression of interest.
We may decline tasks that are unlawful, dangerous, require a licence or otherwise fall outside the service.
6.Price, offers and final price
You choose how to start: set your own price, get help with a price level where such rules exist, or receive offers. The price you state when submitting is a starting point – not a final price.
A final price arises only through Bids & offers: one party sends a price offer with total price, scope and validity, and the other approves exactly that version. Sending an offer also confirms it becomes binding if approved.
Once both parties approve the same price and scope, the price is final for the agreed work. No further price negotiation is possible and the price is never raised afterwards.
Chat messages can never create, change or replace an agreement, even if they mention amounts.
If the work changes materially, a cancellation or a new agreement is needed. Consumer rights, liability for defects, refunds and dispute resolution are not affected.
7.Fees, VAT and tax
The price in an agreement is the customer's total. Any fees paid by the customer must be shown before approval.
A platform fee may be deducted from the provider's compensation. How tax, VAT and any employer contributions are handled depends on the contract model.
Decision required: Final fee model, VAT treatment and whether POFFIX handles tax deductions or RUT. RUT deductions are not offered today.
8.Payment
Card payment via Stripe is built but runs in test mode. No real amounts are charged at present.
Once payment is enabled: the customer pays the agreed price within the stated time after agreement, and work starts only once the payment provider has confirmed payment. If payment is not made in time, the task may reopen for other providers.
Decision required: Payout timing to providers, refund flow and chargeback handling.
9.Chat and communication
Each provider has their own private thread with the customer per task. Other providers cannot read it.
Chat is for practical details: dimensions, floor, parking, tools and timing. Do not share sensitive details that are not needed.
Once a provider is selected, only that thread stays open for new messages. Other threads remain as history.
10.Customer and provider responsibilities
The customer must give accurate information, provide access to the site and disclose risks.
The provider must carry out the work competently and safely, stay within the agreed scope and follow our safety rules. Provider duties are set out in the provider terms.
11.Prohibited tasks and conduct
POFFIX may not be used for unlawful tasks, work requiring a licence (such as electrical installation), professional transport or waste transport without a permit, dangerous work, care services, or to bypass the agreement by settling payment outside POFFIX.
Harassment, false information, attempts to access others' data and spam lead to account restrictions. See the safety rules.
12.Cancellation and right of withdrawal
You can withdraw a task before any agreement exists at no cost.
Cancellation after an agreement is described in the cancellation and refund policy. Consumers may have a right of withdrawal under the Swedish Distance Contracts Act; it is described on the Right of withdrawal page and cannot be contracted away.
13.Complaints and disputes
If the work is defective, report it in My tasks or on the Report an issue page as soon as possible. A task with a reported problem is marked as disputed and reviewed by POFFIX before it is closed.
Consumers may also turn to the Swedish National Board for Consumer Disputes (ARN) or the EU online dispute resolution platform.
Decision required: Which party is responsible for complaints depends on the contract model.
14.Account restrictions
We may pause or restrict an account in case of suspected misuse, repeated cancellations or breach of these terms. You will be told why, unless prevented by law or safety.
15.Liability
POFFIX is responsible for operating the platform with reasonable care. Liability for damage during the work and any insurance are described on the Insurance and liability page.
Nothing in these terms limits liability that cannot be limited under mandatory law.
Decision required: Allocation of liability and insurance cover. No insurance is in place today.
16.Governing law
Swedish law applies. Disputes are settled by Swedish courts. As a consumer you keep the protection of mandatory consumer law.
17.Changes and versions
Each version has a version number and date. Material changes are announced in advance. An agreement already approved is not affected by later changes.
